The Geographic Heatmap add-in never collects, stores, or transmits information that can be used to identify you or your personal/companies data.

The add-in does collect anonymous information about how the add-in is used, such as how often it's launched and what types of maps you want to display, as well as what type of color scheme is displayed. Your workbook map data is NOT collected. These logs are collected through the Google Analytics web service. To distinguish users from each other, the add-in generates a random number for each user, which is stored on your computer and can be removed by clearing your cookies. The information collected is used only to improve the quality of the add-in and is not sent or sold to any third party.

Your data is not transmitted. Instead, the add-in depends on using known ISO codes to render the map. The add-in also offers specific "friendly names" that can be used. This is done to provide flexibility but also keep your data from being sent to a 3rd party server.
